Central Asia, India, ca. early to mid 20th century CE. A striking wooden folk carving of a woman, depicted standing atop a round, trunk-like base with her hands clasped in front of her stomach. Nice details of the carving include a chequered skirt and a long plait of hair down her back. Size: 3.2" W x 9.9" H (8.1 cm x 25.1 cm)
