A hand-carved wooden spoon with a finely detailed face on the handle, perhaps representing an ancestor. The reverse of the scoop carries a bullseye of concentric rings in black and crimson, while the obverse is coloured with a chalky white pigment, from which the name chalk spoon derives. A ringed rim and a small suspension hole complete the scoop, and a parabolic metal suspension bar is secured on top of the thick integral handle.
