Three West African Carved Wood Figures

A group of three hand-carved wooden figures from three West African cultures. The first is an Ewe venovi male figure with elongated arms, a distended abdomen and a bulbous head with large semicircular eyes. The second is a Mina female figure with tab-shaped hands and an ovoid head with recessed coffee-bean eyes. The third is a Yoruba standing female ibeji figure with attenuated legs, arms fused to the hips and an upturned head with a crested coiffure.
