Union Staff Officer's Gilt Brass Coat Button

Nice non dug Union Civil War staff officer's coat button. The front has nice gold and detail with an uncleaned patina. The reverse is silver plated and has a depressed, c.1860, D. EVANS & CO. ATTLEBORO MASS backmark. The shank is almost straight. This button measures 22.5 mm in diameter. It is a nice Northern Civil War button for your collection. Thanks for looking, Jim D.
