The second of two Yaka masks from the same Roland NY sale; the first is TRB-106. By the time this one was catalogued LiveAuctioneers had retired the lot pages for all three same-titled masks into a single aggregated results page, so the description here is written from the photograph rather than from the house's catalogue copy.A Yaka initiation mask, the wood face with protruding blue-and-white painted eyes and an upturned red-brown nose, framed by a full raffia mane. The superstructure carries a seated figure in a conical hat above a panelled crown. Metal display stand included.
