Baule Goli Glin Helmet Mask

A carved wooden helmet mask finished in black, red and white pigment, of the type also called wanyugo. The central body carries two elongated open snouts with carved teeth and projecting white tusks. A human face is carved in relief on one side, painted red with black accents, while a reptilian figure occupies the other; a standing spotted leopard surmounts the whole. The base is hollowed for wear.
