Ngbaka Ancestor Figure

A wooden ancestor figure of the Ngbaka people of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, with the typical large rounded head. Ngbaka statues and masks are recognisable by their elongated features and a line of vertical scarification on the forehead. The figure is in good condition with a glossy patina of age.
