Earrings strung with black glass beads banded in yellow and dotted with white, on wire hooks. The beads are Venetian.
Provenance
Described on the dealer's ticket as 'Evil Eye, Triple Earrings ... intended to protect the wearer', 18th to 20th century AD; the ticket is only partly legible. Identified as Venetian glass beads by Jhonn Thomassen, which places their origin in Europe. Photograph: Tiber Numismatics and Auctions.Acquired
