Asian Antiquities
A pair of thick, round cast bronze bracelets with very narrow openings, together with a bronze axe head having a lunate blade and an ovoid socket opening. Dong Son bronze casting was technically and artistically demanding, and archaeological evidence suggests the work of local specialist workshops. Most surviving examples come from burials, and both the production and the ownership of bronze appear to have been controlled by a restricted elite.
